Model of Care:

Transgender care is modeled after the Tom Waddell Transgender Clinic in California.  

 

Treatment Goals:

Each patient has goal they wish to attain. My goal as a healthcare provider is to help you get there safely.  

Common goals for the MTF:

Decreased facial/body hair 

Increased breast size/breast growth 

Change in body fat distribution 

Weight loss/weight gain 

Softening of facial skin and other features 

Decreased or elimination of erection/ejaculation 

Maintain a strong transgender identity 

Maintain a strong feminine identity 

Change in voice tone or quality 

Decreased or reverse male pattern baldness 

Vaginoplasty and/or other surgeries 

No surgery 

Common goals for the FTM: 

Facial hair with or without body hair 

Increased body musculature 

Maintain a strong transgender identity 

Maintain a strong male identity 

Mastectomy Phalloplasty 

No surgery 

Masculine body

Our goals are:

To Increased your overall health and well-being; 

To increase your  trust and ability to overcome previous negative experiences in medical systems;

To ensure your adherence to advice regarding lab tests, office visits etc;

To discuss avenues of harm reduction regarding substance use, sexual practices, occupational sex work; 

To discuss your HIV risk and testing options;

To offer comprehensive primary care; and,

To serve as a link between the you and social, medical, psychological and educational opportunities available.
